GF Creamy Mac & Cheese

Cheese has been a HUGE pregnancy craving for me and this Mac & Cheese recipe was made quite a few times in my first trimester! Sometimes you just really need some super creamy and cheesy Mac & Cheese!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup half and half or whole milk

  • 1 TBSP arrowroot powder

  • 1 cup packed shredded cheddar ( I love Organic Valley Grassmilk Raw Cheddar but really any good quality cheddar will work for this!)

  • 2 TBSP butter

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste (I LOVE extra pepper in Mac & Cheese)

  • 1 box Jovial GF Shells *12 oz (you can use any pasta for this, but I prefer to use shells)

Start cooking your GF pasta!

Add butter and milk into a medium skillet over medium low heat. Bring this to a light simmer then sift in arrowroot powder and whisk until mixed through. Lower the heat, then add in your shredded cheese and continue to stir while it’s melting. You should be left with a super creamy cheesey sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Once pasta is done cooking, strain and add into your cheese! Fold everything together and ENJOY right after making!!
