Sugar Cookies

Roses are red, violets are blue, these cookies are gluten, grain, egg, and refined sugar free, but yummy as can be 😜💕

  • 1 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/4 cup arrowroot

  • 1/4th cup cold butter

  • 1/8th cup maple

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 1/4 tsp salt


Mix together almond flour, arrowroot powder and salt. Then add in maple syrup and vanilla and mix through. Cut up cold butter into little cubes and add to dry ingredients. Using your hands or a pasty cutter, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal, then begin to form a dough ball with your hands. Flatten dough into a disk and wrap in parchment paper and chill in fridge for at least an hour. Then roll the dough out between two sheets of parchment paper. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out cookies and transfer to prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10 mins at 375. Let the cookies cool completely before decorating! Use frosting of your choice! To make frosting pink, use a little of beet juice!
